ORFW: March Trail Ride: Moderate

ORFW: March Trail ride, Moderate "(we also have a mild ride same day same location)

This is our first ride of the 2023 season.

Ride is open to anyone, and any make and model 4wd with low range.

Ride is family Friendly so bring the kids, well-behaved dogs are also welcome.

There is no Charge for this ride.

We will be on public roads so a street legal vehicle is needed.

Meeting Time: 9am Drivers Meeting, Roll out 9:15am.

Location: Junior Williamson Rest area. 24 L&E Railroad Pl Slade, KY Exit 33 off Burt T Combs Mountain Parkway

Meet in the large parking lot.

Trail Leader will be in Maroon 4dr Wrangler.

Difficulty: This will be a Moderate trail ride on some of the "challenging" sections of the Daneil Boone Back Country By way. Minium of a 33" tire is required, in general this will start to test driver and vehicle, with some steeper hills, deeper ruts and off camber. Risk goes up a bit. (see trail rating guide for more information, It will posted in event discussion area)

All rigs need: Front and rear tow point, Full size spare tire, First Aid kit and Fire Extinguisher.

Ride will last till mid to late afternoon. Please pack a lunch to enjoy along the trail. NO Alcoholic beverages are permitted.

Also have a full tank of gas. There are two gas stations at the Slade exit.

We do ask that you bring a signed ORFW 2023 Wavier of liability with you to ride. (These will be posted in the files section of our Facebook page in early February). If you don't have one we can't let you go with us.

Lastly, NOTE: we have a Mild ride also stagging at this location so when you pull in please let us know so we get you in the correct lineup.
